Third Shift Assistant Baker

We're looking for someone to work in our bakery department, as the assistant to our lead baker for third shift
Our ideal assistant baker
- Has some experience baking and following recipes
- Organized and able to maintain a clean working environment
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Able to think on the fly and make snap decisions
- Positive and upbeat
- Hustles! Works efficiently while maintaining quality and creativity
- Keeps calm and cool headed under pressure and high volume
- Prioritizes tasks and maintains production schedule
- Is able to both take direction & work independently
- Can be on their feet for the entirety of their shift
- Is flexible & willing to pitch in to help the restaurant run as smooth as possible
- Fosters a positive working environment
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Preparing cupcakes and other desserts from start to finish
- Following recipes to a tee
- Making a variety of icings and fillings from scratch
- Able to accurately measure ingredients
- Baking, filling, frosting and preparing cupcakes for the storefront & custom orders
- Maintains a strict production schedule
- Checking inventory daily for dessert menus
- Cleaning up in between batches and at the end of the baking shift
- Washing baking dishes
- Ability to lift 25 - 50 pounds
- Organizing pantry area at the end of the shift
This job position starts in the late evening & ends in the morning hours, based on production schedule.
Longer hours may be needed/requested during holiday seasons and summer
This is a part time position, with excellent attendance required
Benefits include staggered raises after 1 year, Mondays, Sundays & holidays off, free meals & shirts provided
Pay depends on experience
Counter/Day & Night
We're a small family business and we will be a close knit working family. We like to have fun & enjoy serving others.
We're looking for someone to work part time day & night time hours, mainly on the counter/customer service but some prep work/kitchen work will be requested as needed

This job position includes Saturdays.
